In the official Windows AIM client, I can go to the Privacy settings and prevent others from seeing when I'm typing. I can't find anything in iChat that lets me do this.

Any ideas?

I would except it can't properly do AIM file transfers. I finally got fed up and went back to iChat.

I thought you could turn that feature off, but it's been so long since I've used any IM client I don't really know.

You can in every program I've ever used but I can't seem to find it in iChat...

I just checked and I don't see this option under chax either. Chax has some other useful features that it addes to ichat so I recommend it anyway.
