sending other files from application

	I am struggling to set up new Macbook to allow sending files directly from each program such as iphoto, text document or spreadsheet (as can be done in Microsoft WORD or EXCEL) My Mail works fine via Safari and I am using a hotmail address. Message comes up about setting up a .Mac account but surely there is a way to instruct each program to use other address. appreciate any help as new to macs GaryZ
