i just bought a g3 with pre-loaded 10.3 panther....the seller did not sell me the disk..can i use mail without registering the operating system..??

You don't need to register the system, even if you're the original owner. Registration with Apple has nothing to do with anything on the system.

okay, that is nice to know...just wondering why it was asking for evening phone,..i mean it was stating it was not valid i believe?? the g3 i bought , it has 450mhz cpu, with ati 128 video card...can i upgrade these,,,,would it be worth while...or should i go buy a new imac

You don't have to register. You can choose to do it later or not at all. That's a pretty old Mac at this point - nearly 10 years old. You'd be a lot better off with at least a G4, IMO.

okay...yea, i only paid $55 for it,,,got raid installed, i might try to get a g4 quicksilver,,,,this g3 is not bad, it just a bit slow loading pages...,,,but it helps me to learn apple operating system..

get my vocation pay in nov....so you think a quicksilver g4 will a bit faster then....???tell me what to get that will not cost a bundle, that should be not to bad in speed.,,,,

For $55 that was a good deal IMO. Panther is still a good system. Well done!

it works..just painfully slow loading web pages...otherwise everything works....i think i would be happier with a mirroed quicksilver, of course more money.
