I am really considering getting iWeb (iLife) to quickly put together a site for photos. I have lots of experience with Dreamweaver, I just don't have a lot of time to work on my own stuff.
I have my own server so I really don't want to have to pony up the $100 for a .Mac account that I wouldn't use accept for the site.
So my question is: What features and functionality do you lose by not posting a site created in iWeb on .mac? Keeping in mind that I love the quick ability to drop photos into the site and have it create an album for me.
If you have access to a server I would suggest installing or using Gallery and the free Gallery iPhoto plug-in to publish your photos. It seems to me that this would be a much better system than creating a web site and picking out the parts that have changed or uploading the whole damn thing again every time you add a photo.
