I really need help
these are my computer specs if needed

Machine Name: iMac G5
Machine Model: PowerMac8,2
CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.1)
Number Of CPUs: 1
Processor CPU Speed: 2 GHz PowerPC G5
L2 Cache (per CPU): 512 KB
Memory: 1 GB DDR SDRAM
Bus Speed: 667 MHz
Boot ROM Version: 5.2.5f1

i know that i posted something similar but i was not too sure if this should be in iMac or Applications sorry i am still a newbie

final cut takes forever when rendering footage, i can get the info off of the camera or dvd and onto the computer but than putting it into final cut and pushing render i am waiting days (i am not joking) days. what can i do/download/fix that can solve this problem

need help urgently

Hmmmm, where to begin. There are a lot of questions that need to be answered before proper troubleshooting can be done.

- What version of Final Cut Pro or Express are you using?
- What camera are you using?
- What is your workflow for capturing your footage?
- What format is your footage?
- What are your sequence settings? If you have to render an entire sequence (timeline) that is a good indication that your sequence settings do not match your footage.

Since your current render times are taking a while, you would do yourself a lot of good to use that time to read through the manuals. They provide a lot more information than can be provided here.
