Hi,
This problem started randomly yesterday when I tried to log onto my hotmail account through safari.
I can't even go on the hotmail.com website.
However, I can log onto it through firefox.
Could you guys help me to solve this problem?
Many Thanks

I haven't modified it.
I just happened randomly.
At the moment I have to rely on firefox to check my mails.
Hope someone could help me solve this problem.

Can you try to 'reset safari' from the menu? Could be a settings thing.
My hotmail works just fine with Safari.
Why are you using Firefox on mac? Should use Camino. much nicer and practically the same thing ...IMO

Are you sure that you haven't altered any firewall rules? Are you logging into Hotmail from the same internet connection as usual?

Damn it! It has been working fine for a while, but since this week, I can no longer connect. I enter the infamous Infinite Redirect Loop™. Strange thing, when I change Safari user agent to pretend it is Firefox, everything works! I have no choice but to believe Microsoft did this on purpose. It's really a cheap shot since they don't even bother writing their own browser for the Mac in Universal Binaries...

Same to me. I use opera for accessing my hotmail account, and will do a flushcache via terminal later today and see if it helps.
Generally, Safari 2 was horrible, and Safari 3 is still slower than Safari 1 on my G5.

I'm having the same problem and flushing the cache and cookies via the menu did no good. Did you have success?
