help with wecam/windows vista users?

	i have a friend using an instaleld webcam on her toshiba notebook ( satellite A205-S4617 is the model...) with windows vista installed. when i open ichat, my option is to''open one-way video chat'' in which she can see and hear me, and i can hear but not see her. any suggestions? she was using MSN messenger, and i know people have had success with iChat-AIM but her aim is saying that it cannot recognze the webcam ( she also tried one taht you can connect by USB cord) any kind of info would helphttp
