Would anyone be able to report the performance of Adobe CS3 on an older mac? I'm on CS1 now, and thinking it might be time to upgrade.

My laptop is a Powerbook G4, 1.5 GHz, 1 GB RAM.

You need more RAM. CS3 is RAM hungry.

If you live in Adobe apps, even with more RAM you'll be disappointed in he performance. I had a couple of graphics artists that had 1.25ghz dual G4 PowerMacs with 2GB of RAM and they were not happy when they upgraded to CS3 from CS2. Now they have PowerMac G5s and are much happier.

Thanks for the tip!

I guess I'll stick with what I've got for now. I'm in the last year or so of school, buying a Pro machine after I graduate will probably be the better option for me
