I was wondering if it were possible via a plugin i guess or some sort of add on if safari could download a file .pdf for example to one directory but .mp3 to another automatically.

like you'd tell safari where to download certain extensions kinda deal so jpg in pictures, mp3 in music mp4 avi in movies ect.

if not would this be hard to make?

Sounds like a job for Automator and Folder Actions
