Hey. I've been noticing my MB startup, along with almost everything else is alot slower than when I got it and I think it's because of only having 20gigs of space left on my HD. My question is, can someone link me to one of thoes programs that will search my Mac and delete unnecessary files? I'll be getting a new 250gb HD within the next few months, but for the time being I want to make as much extra space on my HD as possible.

I also have an unrelated question. When I get my new HD, will installing it with nothing on it and then putting in my Leapord disc work? Or do I have to do something complicated? I've never installed a new HD or a new OS, so I wouldn't know. Thanks!

Wrt to installing Leopard - a blank HD will be fine, but what you will probably have to do first is format the drive as HFS+ Journaled. You can do this during the install process so it won't require any extra steps.

FWIW, another drive sizing app is WhatSize which is freeware.

An install of the OS will format the drive. Nothing complicated.
