I've tried turning anti-aliasing on/off, nothing works. Well, the only thing that works is enlarging the document but it's a real pita. Any hints?

Not sure if it's the same fuzzy as I was experiencing - for instance .pngs appearing to be very low quality and larger than when made at "actual size". I solved this by turning off the "respect screen dpi for scale" or similar option.

I just tried that. It's still fuzzy. I'm trying to view faxes from eFax (tifs) and I have to enlarge them a ridiculous amount for the text to get sharp.

I noticed that too. It looks like it's using a different downsampling algorithm. If that's the case, not really anything you can do except restore the 10.4 Preview.
