I'm helping a friend move from windows to macos x. She's been using hotmail as her primary email and I want to set her up with mail.app. What would be the best way to get all her contacts into Mail?

She has Entourage too if that would help.

To even use something like Mail or Entourage, she needs a premium account subscription.

But if she has that, then she can use Entourage. I believe it will automatically collect her contacts.

So that means she would be able to export the hotmail contacts from entourage to address book?

Bad Microsoft....but predictable.

Does anybody know of a free way, or is this the best solution?

Try HTTPmail. It might work, it might not. (It works for me, but I've been using hotmail with Mail for years.)
