HI guys,
I've looked and Im stuck. I did a clean install of Leopard on my MBP and I had my old user folder backed up onto an external firewire drive.

I went into iphoto, and tried to import my old library but it's not working! It hangs when it says "finishing import" and I don't know what to do. I can force quit and it will just tell me that there's another 6,xxx amount of pics left to import, would I like to continue?

It's a loop that I can't break. I don't know what to do and I'm fairly desperate to get it working. Like... I'll F&R and go back to tiger if I have to.

Any ideas?

The second post wasn't helpful at all.

I am having the same issue but have had it since Tiger and now I am on Leopard.

It keeps trying to import 253 photos. Its been doing it for two months and I am only now trying to research the solution.

Found this solution at Apple.com:

Unimported photos found in Library when iPhoto is launched
