My ToDos disappear in iCal one day after completion, but they seem to hang around forever in Mail. I can't find a preference in Mail for this. Anyone have any ideas?

Interestingly, I get the opposite effect. They disappear from Mail and hang around forever in iCal. When I noticed iCal wasn't deleting the To Dos, I decided to turn on the 'Hide To Do item' feature above the 'Delete To Do item' feature. I set the delete To Do item to 1 day but noticed that they never actually get deleted.
