While typing, editing, and perhaps especially saving, I'm seeing large processor-usage spikes of 80-90 percent that can last for 30 seconds or more. This locks up Word (at least for scrolling via the trackpad on my PB G4/ 1.67 GHz) very annoyingly; however, if I click somewhere in the document or start typing, the processor usage returns to normal.

Has anyone else seen this? I've never seen it before this update.
