I like having all my web pages render in Helvetica--I'm just funny that way. I've gotten good at cleaning out all of the places OS X and its applications stash fonts. However, under 10.5, I've found something weird. Safari is rendering pages with Georgia, even though the font isn't installed in my system, and seeing Verdana and Times, even though they aren't installed. I have gone so far as to completely remove all versions of those fonts from my system, clean all font caches and restart multiple times.
Now, to make things weirder, no other applications see these fonts. Only Safari. And, no matter what I choose for my preferred font, Safari still renders some pages in the non-existent Georgia.
Any ideas?
