The folder icons in Safari and in Mail are showing as low-res white boxes instead of the normal folder icons.

I tried a different account on the same machine, and it is fine. So, the problem is with some shared resource within the user's library folder. I just don't know where to look.

Does anyone know where the file is that I need to copy from my "good" account to the user account to get the folder icons to display correctly in Safari and Mail in Leopard ?

I've had it happen to me too. Dragging aliases to the desktop to have them appear only as white boxes instead of the icon.

It's obviously a bug that wasn't fixed.

Have you edited any resources?

No, I haven't edited any resources. Before the "Archive & Install", everything was fine. After installing 10.5, that's when the problems appeared. Thing is, If I log into another account on the same computer, the icons are correct. That's why I suspect its a resource problem within the user directory ... I just don't know where to look to fix it.

Try rebooting from the DVD and repair the permissions and see what that does.

Repairing permissions while being logged into the system doesn't seem to work as well IMHO.

Safari's icons are going to have to change anyway. I mean who takes a ****ing compass to safari? I take a shot gun. I want Safari's icon to be a dead lion's head with his tongue sticking out.

We're not talking about the Safari icon, we're talking about the Folder icon in Safri's menu bar or bookmarks menu (the same small folder icon on the sidebar within Mail).
