I use an Add-On for Firefox called 'Fast Video Download' which does precisely this at the touch of a little icon on the status bar. Works great. If you use Firefox.

If you use Safari, simply wait for the flv to finish downloading. Then middle click on it. It'll let you save it to your downloads folder.

KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion! , and drag the button at the top to your bookmarks bar, you then have a bookmark button that will save video from whatever page you are on.

Do you mean something to upload to YouTube or something to download to YouTube? I thought it was the former.

If it's to upload TO YouTube: iMovie 08.

If it's to download FROM YouTube: see above.

KeepVid: Download videos from Google, Youtube, iFilm, Putfile, Metacafe, DailyMotion!

Just enter the youtube URL and it gives you a download link.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.
