Gentlemen,
Just switched to the Mac scene recently and everything is working like a charm.
I was able to find equivalent apps for all my windows ones (and even better),
I am running PHP and MySQL already, and I feel absolutely in heaven working
on this Mac (G5 PPC)

But I have a question...

What do I need to be able to test my pages on a Internet Explorer, like IE6?
I heard about some alternatives like VMWARE and MS-VirtualPC for Mac OS.

Any advices? I am pretty lost on this subject.
I tried to search on google, but I really feel lost because I don't know exactly
what I need to search for.

Remember... I am on a PPC - Not INTEL!

Thank you very much for your attention!
G.

VirtualPC will work on your G5. It isn't as fast as running VMWare on an Intel Mac, but it works well enough to test websites on Internet Explorer.

Honestly, VirtualPC is damn slow and will not be updated again. There are some other emulators (such as Qemu), but they will quickly annoy in how slow they are and how much resources they consume on your Mac.

If I were you I'd shell out for a super cheap PC and just invoke remote desktop connections to it. There are several remote desktop (RDP) clients for OS X, including one made by Microsoft.

Thank you for your advices, comrades!

In the end I think I will revive a old PC laptop I have in the house to make
the Windows Internet Explorer tests.

Best regards!
G.
