I still have 10.4 on my MP and have upgraded to 10.4.11. Now safari 2 has been replaced with safari 3 but I cant seem to use pith helmet (safari 3 on 10.4.11) has anyone had any luck ? If so what version of PH are you using and what did you do to get it to install?

With over 135,000 downloads, it seems that nobody uses pith helmet with 10.4.11 - or in this forum!

I've got PithHelmet 2.8 working on Safari 3.0.4 in 10.4.11. Here's how:
Not sure if this is required, but first I downloaded and installed PithHelmet 2.7 for Safari 3 Beta ( http://www.culater.net/dl/files/PithHelmet-2.7-78.tbz).
I then downloaded PithHelmet 2.8 Beta for Leopard/Safari 3.0.4--which, of course, would not install. Next, I manually extracted the files from the XAR-compressed .pkg and modified the .plist files inside PithHelmet.bundle to accept Tiger's version of Safari 3.0.4. Then I replaced the 2.7 version of PithHelmet.bundle at /Library/Application Support/SIMBL/Plugins with my modded 2.8 version.
For those who do not want to go through all that work, I have a copy of my modded PithHelmet.bundle (along with some simple instructions) at:
PithHelmet-2.8-(10.4.11_unofficial).zip
