Can I batch some photo's in iPhoto so as to reduce file size so that I can email them using Thunderbird. I know in iPhoto prefs you can choose your email client but I do not have this choice only MAIL, ENTOURAGE, and greyed out EUDORA and AOL in my prefs. Can I add Thunderbird to the list? I am not a .mac subscriber and have OSX.

Well, you can export them to a folder on your desktop, and in the export dialog tell it to reformat to 640 x 480 or whatever.

I'm afraid I have no idea how to get Thunderbird to show up in the E-mail clients list.

Well, then let me be the first to note that you've misquoted him.

You don't have to be a .Mac subscriber to use Apple Mail.

iPhoto can export to a folder and thereby reduce the image size.

iPhoto uses AppleScript to hand photos over to e-mail applications. No AppleScript support in Thunderbird, no access to it from iPhoto.

If you do use Mail.app, it has an auto-resize option when sending photos.

Sorry .... didn't understand the inference. Wasn't sarcasm was it??

I found that within iPhoto I can export images with reduced file size to another folder thus giving me the result I wanted.

Thanks.

The guy was being a smart ass and pointing out the apostrophe error in the thread title.

Except he misquoted that. Glass houses, etc.

Had nothing to do with you.
