I believe that the encryption is there for a reason. So you cannot copy the DVD

Legally you are allowed to copy the DVD and in many countries it isn't illegal to circumvent the copy protection.
Of course the encryption is there so you can't copy the DVD. Peh.
OSex has already been mentioned. Then there is Handbrake and MacTheRipper.
HandBrake
MacTheRipper
Finally VLC can in many cases play DVDs from any region.

I could take Sean Connery in a fight... I could definitely take him.

I never said it was illegal. I said that the encryption was there for a reason.

MactheRipper + Toast 8 FTW.
But, don't copy DVDs, only backup ones you own.

You can't burn encrypted DVDs, at least not easily.
You can rip encrypted DVDs, decrypt them, and burn the decrypted DVD.

And they should only be your own DVDs burned as backups. Keeping with the theme here, don't steal stuff, but make backups of what you already own.
