Hi,

I have a song that is mixed very oddly. It's all completely panned to the left side. I'm trying to use Garageband to fill out the right side. The problem is if I pan the track to the left, it just produces no sound at all. Is there a way to do this (I don't know if I explained it very well)?

Also, this is not a song I recorded. It's from a cd, and the way it's mixed has always bugged me so I'm trying to fix it for my own sake.

So you want to mix the left and right channels, then duplicate them, essentially making it mono?

Basically for whatever reason, the song was originally mixed with all the audio on the left channel. There's absolutely nothing on the right side. I just want to duplicate the left side and put it on the right so it sounds more full, so yeah, I guess it will be mono.

Have you tried just switching to mono?

Yep, I tried that and it worked perfectly. Thank you very much! I knew it had to be something simple, I just didn't know what.
