Found this gem today, and NOW I am kicking myself by not to have a big 16:9 display…

In all honest, I love the new Leopard Mail, it is slick, full of details like the new activity indicator, and getting RSS there is a dream, for some odd reason I don't like them in the browser… BUT now and them when I open a mail in order to read it the window being shown varies its size, obviously it gets annoying, then you could argue that to have it to show the whole or just a portion of the message body would solve this, true, but I don't like my Mail being shown when I do a click over the message topic, just a matter of taste… so something like Finder's column view would solve it, right?, may I present you…

Letterbox 0.22b - MacUpdate

I have sent feedback to the AOL people to get them doing something like this for their AOL Desktop software, well, sort of, something like iTunes where you could agglutinate Mail, Chat, myAOL… in one app, but never get an reply back…

Nevertheless, it is great someone a Mac user obviously had came with such cool thing. I sent the link to some friends and now they are sending me theirs snapshots of Mail & Letterbox running great with their 23&30 inches displays, now that hurts

Letterbox is my little baby Glad you like it.

And yes, Dane's done nice work on WideMail, particularly with the two-line view.

It's a wonderful app. In fact, I've never used mail without it as I downloaded the application right after I bought my first Mac.

I actually dont like it.
I see how it is more practical, but it is weird for me to look off to the side for a message.

I'm really impressed with Letterbox, even though it's not really my thing--I really dislike the three-pane view personally. However, my Cube has been seconded (mainly to stop me spending money on upgrades) to a friend's house, and he's keen to get the three-pane view in Mail, so I think this might be the perfect solution. Cheers, and keep up the good work!
