I wanna get adobe creative suite web premium edition and get the 1k off student discount I'm currently not enrolled, now for this discount you need proof of enrollment which a friend of mine is. Can he buy it for me then i can install it on my mac? In other words is there any additional proof needed when you install it like if register the software in my name will it call foul or something?

I believe all you need is a school ID. That's all I had to show when I purchased my MacBook. There is also a site that has student discounts for software. I have yet to purchase anything from there yet, but I intend on getting Dreamweaver CS3. Good Luck!

In Germany, it works like this:

You can just walk into a store and buy the CS3 student editions, no questions asked.
These come with a TEMPORARY unlock code.

Once installed, you have FOUR WEEKS to get in contact WITH ADOBE DIRECTLY and prove to them that you are, in fact, entitled to the Student Edition you have purchased (usually by way of scanned/emailed or faxed documents or school ID. You will then receive a permanent unlock code.
