How do you get the iTunes Store to automatically download your purchases to a different folder, after downloading?

I'm finding that my shared volume works great over the network to store a centralized library, but iTunes purchases stay local, necessitating copying, deleting and re-adding to the iTunes Library.

Yes, I already have the shared directory as my default iTunes library.
