I decided to delay the purchase of Final Cut Studio 2.

Being left with iMovie HD, I am in need of some color correction capability.

The color correction functions in iMovie 06 are insufficient. In iMovie 08 they are better, but I have heard about the single field processing of iMovie 08, that ruins your image quality by reducing sharpness, and so it would be pointless to import an iMovie 06 project into 08 to improve it for color balance, and at the same time ruin its sharpness.

I have heard about a plugin called COLORWASHER, but could only find document relating to still photo adjustments.

Has anybody ever heard of an iMovie color correction plugin, where you can ad least adjust black levels and whitepoint and color temperature/tint?
