For the CAD stuff, I'd have a look over at the Architosh Forums.

CAD choices are pretty limited on OSX.. Pro/Concept, VectorWorks, and Xenon are probably the best options although it depends what you're using AutoCAD for.
Xcode (on your OS X install CD) is the closest replacement for Visual Studio.

If you are a student or teacher you can get ArchiCAD for free at Graphisoft - Home page

I just tried it but it'll only be good for 30 days... Anyway, my first priority is finding a PCB layouting software though. Because cad isn't really needed much.

I've never done PCB layout, so I can't give anything the thumbs-up or -down, but a search on VersionTracker turns up several possibilities, including EAGLE.

And if you're planning to do VB.NET development, that's kind of a Microsoft product, so their Visual Studio environment really is the best choice. For a general IDE, though, Xcode works fine. There are also other cross-platform IDEs that might be more familiar to people coming from outside the Mac, such as IntelliJ and Eclipse.
