1. Is there a way to stop iTunes from expanding when I connect my iPhone or iPod? It is really annoying now that I have all my applications specifically set up in Spaces to be more productive. iTunes is set up in mini mode, and set for every space . I go to sync my iPod and iPhone and iTunes gets all egotistical, expands, and robs me of my precious screen realty and organization.

2. In the same theme of organization as I stated above, I want to get rid of the recent buddies group in the iChat window since i have no room for them and have never once had a use for them since all my buddies are from my address book (I may just be unpopular). Also while on a rant , it would be even more helpful to get the recent buddies group and the offline group to vanish-I mean who really cares about people being offline? How does that help you?

I want it to automaticly sync I just don't want it to come to the front when I plug in my iPhone or iPod, the "do not bring to front" sounds promising, allthough I do not know where that is, is it preferences? I wonder If you are speaking of keep on top? I like that setting and have it turned on but if that is the militia behind my tyranical iTunes it has got to go. Unfortunatly I am not at home till 8 so I will have to till then to test, I will let you know the results when I get home. Thank you.

ok so i did what the posts above said, it Is no longer on top or syncing automaticly anymore. So now I am looking for a hotkeys that can sync my iPod or iPhone, which lead me to quicksilver ( I feel like such a newb) and I love it! I also figured out how to get rid of offline group in iChat, there's a button in preferences (newb)! No luck for recent buddies still waiting to see if anyone knows about how to get rid of that group (where are the terminal ninjas?). So for now I bask in quicksilver love with a half finished project. Anyone know of a hotkeys to sync iPods for quicksilver? Hi go quicksilver! Away!
