Some of the movies that i have downloaded via my BitTorrent program do not have sound to them. When I hit play, a window pops up recommending that i might need some other type of software to properly watch the movie. i am not sure on what i should download. any advise would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Same here. Probably depends on the type of file.
Happened here with an AVI file: no sound in QuickTime, have sound in VLS though.

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

The easiest way is to use VLC instead. Supports many more codecs out of the box.
