first off here's my situation:
intel aluminum mac
student (ie, broke)
where can i get adobe photoshop the cheapest? a website someone mentioned ( ComputerLand) offers a photoshop/premiere bundle for $314, which is a good deal for me. unfortunately you have to be a california community college student to benefit from the discount. i am a student, but not a CCC student.
anyone else know where to get a legit copy photoshop cheap? a student rate would work also.

Check your college bookstore. At my school, we can purchase the student versions of Adobe products heavily discounted beyond the usual student discount. It would be worth finding out if your college offers a similar program.

You sure? That sounds like retail pricing and not educational pricing.
Don't forget the education store at adobe.com. Photoshop CS3 Extended for $299. Not "cheap" but a lot less than retail pricing. Photoshop Elements 4 for Mac is $69 (but doesn't run on Leopard IIRC).

Most people in your situation would reduce themselves to piracy. I must say I'm surprised that you're an exception, but that's not a bad thing. As Cadaver stated before me, look into Adobe's Educational Discounts. You can get a moderate to steep price reduction for simply being a student. Of course if you can't seem to get a discount deep enough for your pocket book, you just may be out of luck. In that case, I'd suggest putting away a percentage of your income (Assuming you have one, that is) and put it towards Photoshop CS3

Through my school's bookstore, Adobe Photoshop CS3 Extended is $299.98. This is the standard educational price (we don't have any special deals). Check it out at JourneyEd.com.

My daughter is a student and I know the Adobe products are heavily discounted at her school as well. Check your bookstore. Check some of your friends' bookstores!

just google Photoshop and academic.
Then go to resellerratings.com and weed out the crooks. I know of the academic superstore, but check back on its ratings.
