Hi,

i have installed on my mac (Mac OS x 10.4.11) Flash, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign CS3.
I need to install the "Extension Manager CS3" but when the setup start i receive a message like:

"Extnsion Manager is already installed". Uninstall and Re-Install."

I delete all the extension manager files (i also made a "search" ) in my computer but the installation program always return me the same message.

Someone can help me? Thank you so much!

Fab

Check whether there is a corresponding installation receipt in Macintosh HD/Library/Receipts/ .

If there is, the Installer may just be checking that and thinking that it's already been installed. Brain-dead, but that's Adobe.

Don't delete all files in /Library/Receipts. Those are required to repair permissions (which should'nt be done regularly but might become necessary one time).

Doesn't CS3 use a custom installer anyway? If so, then it doesn't care about receipts. Run the CS3 installer and look whether it has an uninstall option anywhere. If so, use that to uninstall the program instead of just trashing it.

Someone who owns CS3 will probably be able to give more helpful advice.

Thank you for the answer; Extension manager CS3 is an extra and you must download it for installation.
I try to use the CS3 CD-ROM but i don't have any uninstall option. I look everywhere to find EM files, also in Resources and Help folder.
