My Mac just crashed and I rebooted, opened up Dreamweaver and... none of my settings were still there. All the sites were gone, font back to default. I have Time Machine backups and tried to go back a day on my Users/me/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver 9/Configuration folder to no avail... Are the settings stored in a different location? If not... anyone have an idea why this would not restore the settings?

Thanks!

Hey I just experienced that same problem yesterday. I called apple and they told me that if your mac crashes or you shut off the mac without closing the application then there is a chance that you can corrupt some preferences on the application. I am still looking where the preferences are saved. My photoshop settings were reset to default too. I had it a little worst than you because my external hard drive had the problems, which made my mac crash and now my external hard drive won't work and that drive had my timeline data saved on it. Let me know if you find where those preferences are saved.

Troubleshooting system errors or freezes in Dreamweaver (8, CS3 on Mac OS X)

Scroll down to item 9 and it shows where the preferences are saved.

Thanks very much for this heads-up! I am going to explore this after work. I have rebuilt many of the sites but I am still having a problem with Dreamweaver not remembering what folders are expanded. For example, in the file list, if I collapse a folder, close the site, and re-open the site, the folder will show up as expanded. Kind of annoying and seems like it could be related to the preferences.

Thanks, again!

Update: So far, so good! This seems to have solved the problem with Dreamweaver remembering what folders were expanded and collapsed. I also have not *knock on wood* had a crash since rebuilding the preferences.
