I am in need of some assistance. I am a big fan of downloading all the new applications and widgets that mac puts out. I weekly fill up DVDs full of applications and save them, recently I deployed to Iraq with the Army who to no suprise gives us limited access to the internet for now. Does anyone know of any websites or organizations that do like weekly distros of all the news mac applications and sends them out via cd/DVD? I am willing to pay for it, just would like to be back in the loop. Any suggestions/ideas would greatly be appreciated. Thanks

Nathan

Being that the internet is fairly ubiquitous, I don't believe you'll find any company that also offers these programs on a CD. They expect you to download the widgets, and applications. This is especially true if you're looking to have a a bunch of shareware apps and widgets on one disc. Makes little sense for a company to try to do this and make a profit when they're pretty much available for download.

Perhaps find someone from home who can download and burn the stuff for you?

Try Version Tracker:
Mac OS X Software Updates and Mac OS X Downloads - VersionTracker
They really are excellent, you can make a customized list of apps that you want to track. They do not provide a CD service, but it will make things a whole lot easier for you and your wife.
Stay safe over there and thank you for your service!
