Is there a way to have links open in a tab instead of a new window? I have gone into prefs, general and checked links to open in tabs but no luck.
Also the same question with bookmarks. I have to command T, then click on the book mark. Or it changes my current window

Right-click link (or ctrl-click) and select Open Link in New Tab.
Not much you can do about opening the bookmarks automatically in a new tab. Is it really that big a hassle?

I just found where you hold the command button down and click the link or your bookmark and it will open in a tab. That will work for me. Thanks for your help

If you have a Mighty Mouse, set the scroll wheel as "Button 3" in System Preferences. Now when you click on the scroll wheel on links, they will open in new tabs.

Unfortunately, you can't open a bookmark in a separate tab or window, whether you use a CTL-click, a right click (for a context menu) or button 3. It does in the Windows version, and I miss that feature.

Yeah, you most definitely can use the Button 3 to open bookmarks in new tabs.
