So I don't seem to have my iLife sound effects anymore. iMovie '08 shows that I have my iMovie '08 sound effects, but I no longer have my iLife sound effects. I've used them before. It is possible that I moved them somewhere. Can I just install the sound effects from my iMac DVD restore (i.e. where is the correct .pkg file?)?
edit: Update...I installed iLifeSoundEffects_Loops.pkg on my OS X DVD, but iMovie still says that it doesn't see anything.
edit2: I installed iLifeMediaBrowser and now iMovie gives me the SBOD. So I installed the entire iLife suite from iMac DVD and now iLife gives me unexpectedly quits" upon launching. iPhoto launches just fine.

Frustrated, I backed up and did a clean reinstall of the entire OS installing Tiger first from my iMac DVD (as it contained the iLife '08 suite) and then did a Leopard install over that. However, before installing Leopard and after installing Tiger, I launed iMovie '08 and it worked fine. After installing Leopard, iMovie cannot launch. In the error message, it says that it has unexpectedly quit and is launching more than one application at once (I only have 1 instance of iMovie '08 on my drive). : :

First, it is totally unnecessary to instal Tiger first just to get iLife '08 from your iMac DVD. You can easily install bundled apps separately by running the Optional Installs package on the DVD.
Second, have you run Software Update to get all the Leopard compatibility updates for iLife '08?

I know that it is unnecessary to do so, but I've tried everything to no avail. However, I might have forgotten to get the Leopard updates so I'll post back when I do later on tonight. Thanks!

I ran SW update and it works now. I guess that was the problem all along. However, I thought that the problem was deeper because I thought that I had used iMovie after installing Leopard with no problems. And I thought that I had updated iMovie beforehand also. However, I suppose none of that had happened and it was all a figment of my imagination.
