Hello
I have another question, might not be in the right forum, but it has to do with the core applications that came with 10.4.11 X. I just went out and got Office 2008, and now I am using the Entourage program for mail, calendar, and address book. I might have done a foolish thing, but I deleted the iCal, Address Book, and Mail apps from my computer. Well first of all let me shed some light on the type of person that I am, I am the type of person that has been withy computers since the DOS era where space was a commodity, and I have this thing about space on my HDD, even though I have 50+ gigs of space. So if it is not needed I tend to get rid of it, well this has gotten me in trouble in the past, but I just want to know if I deleted those apps that I talked about earlier on is the system going to become unstable, are these core apps ?

And then I guess I should ask, is there a way to get them back if for some reason I need to ?

Thanks

Abdulah

There is no reason for it to, no. But in the future I recommend you archive the items before removing them.

There is a nifty application called Pacifist that can extract app packages from the system install disk(s).

I moved this to Applications.

zro's recommendation is seconded. Use Pacifist to find those pkg installers to get your Apple applications back.

You can also just insert your Install disc that came with your Mac and run the Bundled Apps installer. You'll then be able to pick which apps you want to reinstall. Then you'll need to get the latest combo updater to get those apps to be updated to the 10.4.11 versions.
