I'm a new Mac user and have not been able to identify why Safari is unable to access my hotmail account. I am not able to open the windowslive.com page either...they both begin to download, but never open. What can I do to fix this problem? I am currently using another email account, but also need access to the messages sent to hotmail... Suggestions anyone? It's just one more reason I'm frustrated with Microsoft

Try another browser to see if that works. Firefox is good.

You can also enable the debug menu in Safari, then change its User Agent to IE 6.

It happens from time to time with me.. it is quite annoying.
i tried signing in through:

Live Search

then i clicked sign-in the top left corner. Once the page loaded, click on windows live.

Let me know if it works for you.

It's a sign, telling you to get a better email address.

Jun A M,
Try changing your user agent to IE 6. In Safari 3.1, the menu you want is Develop. To enable it, open Safari's preferences, click Advanced, and check the Develop box. Then click the Develop menu, User Agent, and choose IE.

All too complicated.

Clear all cookies from .live.com (Safari -> Preferences -> Security -> Show cookies) and re-login. Do not check "remember my email address AND password". Remembering email only still works, however.

I think its Microsoft's way of tweaking us mac users. From time to time, I cannot access my hotmail account within safari. Thankfully for me, its my spam account that I pass on to websites so the need to access it is minimal. (for me).

clearning the cookies with live.com (and msn.com) worked for me. Give it a shot!
