Hello,

I'm a University student and I've been trying to use the Osirix software with their sample datasets to isolate a surface rendering of the bronchial tree up to the secondary bronchii for a research project.

There is virtually NO documentation/instructions on how to use Osirix on their website, and I am definitely NOT a radiologist. I'm having trouble modifying the segmentation parameters and getting a ROI that displays well.

Does anyone know if there is a good reference or tutorials on this subject? Do I need to contact a radiologist and get a different data set?

There are some good seminars on the apple website that walk you through the basics of the program. Its a quicktime seminar that you have to register for (free) and then watch in installments. They are very helpful. But I agree, the documentation is dismal, and the program is incredible. VERY powerful and amazing, but hard to learn, and no good way to figure it out.

There is a Yahoo group for Osirix users that you can join to ask for help too-
