Hello,

Does anyone know of any software or something that acts like
a) An alarm clock
b) Turn the computer off after x amount of time

there's scheduling built into OS X in the energy saver preference pane in system preferences

And iCal can alert you to specific events minutes or hours in advance by opening any file you like (such as, say, an internet radio playlist, or an mp3 song, or a big honking alarm clock bell sound, or whatever).

Aurora works great as an alarm clock! I use it everyday to wake up to music from itunes. Energy saver can turn off your computer.
