Hi there,

I'm running a MBP with leopard and windows via bootcamp. My current iTunes library resides on windows, OS X has full read/write access to the windows partition.

I am trying to use the exact same itunes library file in Mac OS X as I am in windows. I can load up my windows iTunes library no problems in iTunes on OS X by selecting the library. Only problem is all the file locations are wrong because the path/directory is different as it's C: \etc in windows but untitled\etc in mac os x. Anyway round this? (I also have most of my huge library on an external harddrive which comes up as H: \ in windows itunes library but My External\ in OS X)

I was thinking of an Applescript which reads 'c: \' from the iTunes library as 'untitled' but I have no idea how to start that and would wonder how writing info back into the librarywould work. Any other work arounds?

Thank in advance. I hope this thread will help others in a similar situation.

Turn on file sharing on your Mac and Windows machines, then point OS X's iTunes to the iTunes library on your Windows box.

What format is your Windows partition? I don't understand the problem with your file paths. To select your iTunes library on the Windows partition, just hold down option when OS X iTunes starts up, select Choose Library..., and navigate to it.

It's on NTFS.

Yeah I've done that, library opens up fine with a list of all the songs but when I try to play the songs Mac doesn't recognise the directory for the music files. The music files are found on Cusers\music or whatever but Mac OS X does not 'know' what C is...
