i want to make a dvd of random chapters from different dvds, I can rip the chapters using handbrake. What is the best program to use to link them all together with a nice transition between each chapter? I am making a collection of my favorite kung fu scenes for a friends chinese new year's party.

will imovie read files ripped from handbrake? if so what format should i rip them in?

Rip them into mp4. That should be fine.
