Hi, I got a disk (CD) from a windows friend with some musik on it.

There are 12 files ending with .flac
There's a .md5 file
Theres a .ffp file

The .flac files have an icon with a kind of lizard of cameleon om it
The .md5 and .ffp files have an icon with 2 CD's, some musical nodes and a kind of dancing bear or troll or tasmanian devil or whatever it is.

My friend is on holiday so I can't ask him. But it is my impression that these files should be combined in some way to make a CD I can listen to. I'm just totally lost re. how to do that.

Can anybody help?

thanks

FLAC is a audio codec, you'll need VLC to play it. MD5 is used to check the integrity of the files (just ignore those files). FFP is used to check the integrity of the FLAC files too.

Remember, google is your friend. I looked all 3 up on wikipedia in a minute.
Signature depreciated.

Aha ... so it I convert the .flac files to CD format I don't have to worry about the md5 and ffp files, is that correct?

I searched for a converter and found Switch. It's awesome. Even I can use it.

I was just worried about the md5 and ffp files

Thanks for the help. Quick and precise. Love it!

md5 files are not music files, they are checksum files for other files. I haven't heard of ffp files yet.

Edit: according to this, ffp files are Corel draw graphics files.
I don't suffer from insanity, I enjoy every minute of it.

Aha so he has probably tried to make a cover or a logo for his band. That's OK. I don't need to hear that
