Word printing glitch via menu icon

Word 2004, OS X 10.4.11

Word sees the printer (attached via USB) using the filerint dialogue and documents print fine, but when you mouse over the print shortcut icon it shows the destination as print_(internal modem) and the document does not print.

Any idea where the setting s for this are located?

Maybe System Preferences->Print & Fax->Default Printer: [select here]
