Hi,
Having a bit of a nightmare with iphoto - have recently been converting old 35mm negs to jpegs via an epson scanner. The scanner software saves the images as jpegs in a folder of my choice - I have set up appropriately named sub-folders within my pictures folder in Finder, then saved each film to it's own folder.
I then import each folder by dragging it from the finder window directly into iphoto, where it appears as an album. No problems so far. However, when I go back into iphoto I find a large number of the thumbnails were 'missing' - I say 'missing', but they are visable when the thumbnail is at maximum size, and when the picture is opened for editing... I haven't touched the files or folders in the iphoto library in Finder, and all photos are still there.
Tried iphoto help & deleted relevant albums from iphoto then re-imported from original location, which seemed to work, but only until I closed iphoto & reopened it. Problem seems to be limited to 2 of the films.
The majority are travel photos and as my ultimate aim is to make a book, I have put selected photos into a new album created in iphoto, not to mention editing quite a few of them, so I am reluctant to try this tactic again, as I can't face selecting & editing them all again, especially as it didn't work the first time...
Any suggestions?
PS Don't know if relevant, but installed Leopard fairly recently, however does not seem to have updated to ilife 08 as still on iphoto 6...
