I have to type up a medical note using proper medical abbreviations. This includes Latin shorthand items such as 'c' with an overline for "with", and so on. Using the Character Palette, I've found both overlines and macrons, but the only character combination I can get to work is the "combining double macron." That gives me a line over the character I need overlined, but it is double so it extends over the previous space as well. Not terribly useful, since it makes it less clear which letter is overlined. Suffice to say that the single overline and single macron don't overline the character even though they're labeled as "combining" characters. Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated. As would a separate font with all these characters already available...
As a side note, circled letters such as R or L for right or left are available and very usable, so the only thing that's really giving me problems is this stupid Latin shorthand stuff.
