Hi,

I use IMAP with a gmail account.

I find myself a few times sending e-mails and a few minutes later I check that the mail has not been sent, and it's not in draft either. There is no outbox either, not even showing an outbox. When I check activity down to the left I see "Incoming messages 10 from 23" (or any number) kind of halted, at 0 kb/s... then I need to close mail and open mail again, but my sent messages have been lost!

Then I go to Gmail and the mails are not there. Lost.

This happened a few times, not too much. But that thing of incoming messages halted at 0kb happens EVERY DAY. If I go to Gmail I have a few new e-mails, but my mail is halted. Any thoughts???

Thanks

Well, the only way to determine whether or not the message was actually sent would be to search for the message ID of the message you sent in the server's mail logs - whether a message made it to your sent folder or not doesn't really indicate whether or not the message was actually sent. Obviously this is not an option for you though...

About the only thing I can think of is a corrupt message index. Have you tried doing a "rebuild Mailbox" in Mail for your entire Inbox mail hierarchy?

For Gmail IMAP, they should be in the Sent Mail folder inside the Gmail folder.
