Hello -
I did some searches to no avail: are there any spam programs for Apple Mail (it would be running an exchange account .. maybe a .Mac account as well) that will send the recipient back a link they must click in order for the mail to arrive. Once they are in the "database" of sorts they dont have to worry about it.
Thanks for the help!
MIke

That sort of thing usually happens at the server level. Have you talked to your admins about setting up graylisting? Graylisting may accomplish what you are trying to accomplish without burdening the people emailing you.

thanks Besson3c. I havent had a chance to talk to the admins but will definitely inquire. The inspiration for this comes from work where i have emailed people (on gmail, yahoo, etc) accounts and received that sort of reply: hey just making sure you're not spam! That was really what i was hoping for.

Really check out other options first before going to that, as there are many people who won't bother to respond to the challenge e-mail because they find it annoying. (I'm not one of them).

Thanks for your thoughts. I know that some will and some won't but id imagine it would be more of a one time thing then everytime. Once they prove they are real they shouldnt have to do it over and over again.
That said - IS there a program that DOES THIS?
The only other option i have really found thus far is SpamSieve .. any thoughts on that (note: i know it doesnt do the email link verification but i cant find a mac compatible program that does!)
Thanks guys! Once again its really appreciated.

As it is more of a server function, you might have more luck finding something open source, that's used on Linux, and see if it has a Mac OS X target you can compile.
