I don't know why I can't figure this our but how can I get the header to stop repeating onto the next page in Apple's Pages? I want the header and page number on the first page and just the page number on all subsequent pages. Thanks.

Thanks but “Use previous headers and footers.” seems to be shaded out for some reason (I'm using '05 btw). Also I want to be able to have the page number repeat just nothing else. Any further ideas?

Put the caret into the text (not the header itself), then turn off "Use previous headers and footers".

Still no luck. The "Left and right pages are different" box sort of does what I want but it's only for every other page.

Try inserting a section break before the page you want to have a different header.
