Installed it, ran for a bit, installed the Stumble add-on, tried to close a tab (had three open) and the CPU (both cores) went to 100%.

I'm on 10.4.11, anyone else had issues with Firefox's latest and greatest?

BTW : Hi, I'm new here.

Maybe it is the extension slowing it?

Maybe, I usually use Camino but someone told me how to waste time using Stumble so I just had to give it a go.

You could try firefox 3 beta 3, if the plugin is compatible.

I'm also using 10.4.11 with Firefox 2.0.0.12 and don't have any CPU spikes. I would guess that it's the extension you are using that's causing the problem.

When Firefox crashes on my machine, sometimes instead of quitting it just pegs the CPU until I force quit it. I suspect your Firefox is crashing.

I'll uninstall the Stumble thingy add-on and see what happens. Cheers for the feedback though.
